The Global Sustainability Accreditation - we are supporting over 300 organisations
The GreenCode Standards were established to support organisations that understand their responsibility to do better – for the environment and for consumers.
Our Accreditation removes the cost and complexity of typical schemes, and is built from the experience of sustainable and successful businesses over a 25 year period. Our approach carries the important balance of credibility and simplicity.
Every organisation can do more, no matter what sustainability measures are currently in place. GreenCode invites businesses of all shapes and sizes to ‘Join the Journey’.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What are the benefits of being GreenCode accredited?
It’s an effective way to track your efforts, improve year-on-year and highlight your credentials to consumers in a single, straight-forward and credible way. - How does it work?
After Sign Up, you’ll be sent a link to our Screening Questionnaire (15-20 minutes), which will give us a good idea of your current sustainability status. Based on the outcome of this, you’ll either be Invited to Audit, or be provided an Improvement Plan – which lists a clear pathway to sustainability, and once completed you can re-enter the Audit process for free within 6-12 months. - How long does the audit process take?
About 4-5 weeks, but it can take longer should your organisation need more time to collate required information. - If we gain accreditation, what’s next?
Accredited Organisations will have the rights to use the Official GC mark for a period of 12 months and become a GreenCode Member during this time – with exclusive access to workshops and ongoing support throughout your continuous sustainability journey. - Can anyone become a Member?
No, it’s reserved for those Accredited Organisations who achieve GreenCode Accreditation. - How much does it cost?
Typically, the cost is just £690+VAT per annum, reduction in year 2 onwards. This will only vary for very large operations and we’ll inform you prior to Sign Up. - How does GreenCode decide on its Standards?
The Standards have been in practice for over 25 years in the Green Britain Group, which encompasses businesses from multiple sectors – from food production and energy, to a sports team and large-scale manufacturing. The Standards are constantly reviewed and challenged by both the Technical Standards Board (TSB) and Consulting Partner Network (CPN) to ensure they remain current, robust and progressive.
